Scammers disguise themselves in many ways. One of those is by initiating a Romance Scam. This confidence trick involves the scammer creating a fake online identity, gaining their victim's trust, and then asking for money. Romance scams are rising lately with gift cards being one of the most requested payments from the scammer.
