A trend has been identified involving SMS text messages. Customers are reporting receiving a Visa SMS text claiming their Visa card is locked. The SMS message instructs the recipient to call the number provided in the text and during the call will be instructed to follow the automated system prompts.
Do not contact the number and do not provide any information. This is a phishing attempt and any information shared should be considered compromised.
