Chris Knight joined First Bank & Trust in 2023 and leads and oversees the mortgage teams in the organization. With over 16 years of banking experience, he brings strong backgrounds in both the mortgage and retail sides of finance.

Knight is a graduate of the University of South Dakota where he obtained a degree in business management. He is actively involved in the Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire and the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire, and he serves as a board member of the Youth Ninja Foundation in Sioux Falls.

When he is not leading the FBT Mortgage team, Knight enjoys playing golf, attending his son Myles’ American Ninja Warrior competitions, and spending time with his wife, Jeni.

Paul Schuster is the Regional Mortgage Banking Manager for First Bank & Trust. Before starting at the bank, Paul built a 33-year career in the mortgage industry. He has held director, divisional VP, and regional leadership roles and spent 22 years as a senior partner with an independent mortgage lender in Edina, MN. In his current position, Paul is leading, building, and developing the mortgage banking team in the Minnesota market.

Paul holds his certification as a Minnesota Mortgage Specialist and was also the recipient of the MN Mortgage Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. He enjoys outdoor sports and activities and spends as much time as possible at his family’s cabin in the Ely, MN area. He resides in Deephaven, MN, with his wife Randa and children Jordan and Jack.

A native of Lidgerwood, North Dakota, Spellerberg is a graduate of Northern State University where he obtained bachelor of arts degrees in both business and economics. He is active in a variety of non-profits and organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, The Banquet, Sioux Empire Housing, and the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. He also spends his time teaching Financial Peace University classes through Ramsey Solutions.

When Ryan is not cheering on the Chicago Bears, hiking, biking, or kayaking, he can be found spending time with his wife Emily and their two adopted beagles, Annie and Bee.

With over ten years of Sioux Falls market experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer, Amy is a valuable addition to the First Bank & Trust team. She is involved in the Sioux Falls community as a member of the Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire and the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire and has served as an Edith Sanford Executive Committee Member since 2015. A Brookings, SD native, Amy enjoys spending time with family, golfing, camping and handcrafting jewelry. She and her husband, Mike, have three children, Addison, Jackson, and Grayson (Gracie).

A native of Brookings, Jen is active in the community as a member of the Brookings Regional Builders Association, East Central Board of Realtors and Brookings High School Finance Education Committee. She is also involved with Habitat for Humanity. She and her husband Robb have a daughter, Sophie.

A Milbank native, Dani is actively involved in the community as a member of the Milbank Community Pride, Junior Achievement classroom volunteer, and a member of the Corona Volunteer Fire Department. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her children in all their activities, going on motorcycle rides, attending rock concerts, traveling, fishing, camping, teaching Sunday school, and singing in the church praise band. Dani lives on the original Hicks family farmstead with seven boys, Chaxton, Hunter, Brander, Fischer, Ramzey, Wylder, and Hudson, shared with her late husband, Paul.
